Hi, I’m Jance Tackett, a videographer and senior at the University of Georgia, majoring in Entertainment Media Studies. With over ten years of experience creating video content, I’ve built a strong foundation in visual storytelling. What started as a childhood dream—launching a gaming YouTube channel at age 10—quickly transformed into a lifelong pursuit to capture and share stories that leave an impact.
My journey has been shaped by a blend of formal education and hands-on experience. At Alpharetta High School, I spent four years studying video production under Tracy Misner, mastering the fundamentals of editing, directing, and content creation. During this time, I produced and directed segments for The AHS Morning Show, earning multiple NATAS Southeast Student Production Awards. I also collaborated with organizations like "Be The Voice" to create impactful, multi-week video content, gaining essential experience in collaborative project environments.
Now at UGA, I’m expanding my skill set through advanced media studies and practical applications of video production. My work spans stop-motion animation, scriptwriting, directing, and hands-on editing with software like Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro. Managing both team projects and solo ventures, I’m recognized for my attention to detail, adaptability, and dedication to delivering high-quality results.
Beyond technical skills, I bring a positive, solutions-oriented approach to every project. I find immense satisfaction in collaborating with others to bring creative visions to life, and I’m enthusiastic about the professional opportunities ahead.
Thank you for exploring my portfolio—I’m eager to share my work and look forward to collaborating with you on future projects in the world of video production.
